Tony Corwin

Obituary

Tony E. Corwin, age 66, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born on July 13, 1951 to Clarence and Maise (Hefflinger) Corwin. Tony graduated from Napoleon High School where he played varsity football. He married Karen Dalton in November of 1983 and she preceded him in death in August, 2016. Tony worked hard to provide for his family, driving forklift for Campbell's Soup Company, retiring after 46 years of service. He was truly a gentle giant, with a wonderful sense of humor. Tony loved to garden, enjoyed Ohio State football, and was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying many trips to southern Ohio and out-of-state destinations for hunting. He was close to his family, in particular his granddaughter Angel, who lived with Tony and Karen. Tony is survived by his children, David Corwin, and Stacy (Jesse) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Brandon Miller-Corwin, Angel Corwin, Abby Rodriguez, Jesse "J.J." Rodriguez III, and Ashley Rodriguez; and brothers, William and John Donnett. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Karen; and sister, Barbara Jean Hicks. Friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Walker-Hoening Mortuary in Napoleon, where Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. Pastor Bob Hinz of Bedford Alliance Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Hoy Cemetery in Harrison Township. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

My sincere condolences. May you find much comfort in the resurrection hope. Jesus speaks of this at John 5:28-29. There it reads in part, ' Do not be amazed by this for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tommdwill hear His voice and come out.....' God always keeps His promises. Titus 2;2, Rev 21:4, Psalms 37:9-11,29 )

As you gather to remember Tony's life legacy, may Jesus our Jehovah-God embrace you all with His loving arms. Cherish in your hearts the many warm and fond memories that you share. Although he is now in Heaven with our Lord, he will not be forgotten by all who knew him.

I am so sorry for your loss, in these times of grief it is so hard to find comfort but one way we can find it is through our friends and also praying to our creator. at 1Peter 5:7 states" while you throw your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." He also promises to get rid of all the suffering we see today at Revelation 21:4 states "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” please i hope this gives some measure of comfort. Also there is a website that can give a little more comfort at Jw.org. It uses the bible based aides and has a question to why we suffer today and why we die.
