I am sorry for your loss. I remember your father well when he helped coach softball for Sylvan Elementary. He was so nice and always had a positive word, especially when I was a terrible player :) Lisa Hartkopf Smith Powell, Ohio

My greatest sympathies to the entire Gremling family. I haven't seen Dick in a lot of years, but I have fond memories of all the fun we had together. A long time ago Dick helped to keep a young kid on the straight and narrow path, and even though we didn't stay in touch, I always thought of him as a good friend. I am sure he will be missed greatly by his family and anyone who had the privilege to know him.

I met Dick at a show about 10 years ago when he introduced me to Elmore Conservation club. He talked so fondly about it and was such a nice guy, I joined at that time. Dick has done many things for the club over the years. He was still doing for others just a few weeks ago. We will miss him dearly.

Dad so enjoyed the club. He was almost like an ambassador for the club. He was proud of the club, feeling it was a hidden gem in the area. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Occasionally someone very special comes into your life. Their laughter brightens your day, their kind gentle heart lights up the room, the sparkle in their eye draws you in and makes you feel exceptional. That very special someone was Dick. I am so very grateful he entered my mom’s life bringing her abundant joy, and filling her heart with happiness. The two of them would chuckle and tell me “we may not have much time together but we plan to enjoy the time we do have”. And that they did! Mystery trips in Punta Gorda, long Sunday afternoon car rides, playing cards with friends, taking Lilly for walks and holding hands on the front porch. Dick’s absence will be BIG but the loving memories of all the wonderful times mom and Dick enjoyed will be BIGGER. Dick, you will be missed by mom, Lilly and the entire Brunton, Wilkes, Dill & Wise families. Until we meet again, may you rejoice at the feet of God almighty and dance in the glory of heaven.

Dad's life was enriched by the time he spent with your Mom and you girls (lLilly too). He saw the love between all of you, and Dad so appreciated your kindness. I can remember one of his hospitalizations, he thought your Mom could not make it to to see him. When she popped into the room he was so happy to see her! He was so looking forward to going to Florida with your Mom. Dad talked about your Mom, you girls, and of course Lilly each time I spoke to him..
All of you were so good to Dad! Thank you for everything! The Gremling family.
