Obituary

Michael D. Luman, 76, of Fostoria, passed away at 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria with family and friends present.

He was born November 18, 1940 in Wood County, Ohio the son of Loy and Imogene (Bonner) Luman. He was a graduate of class of 1958 from Fostoria High. He married Carol Jo England in 1959 and later divorced. He married Mary Lou (Frisch) Michaels on April 6, 1974. He was employed for many years at Atlas Crankshaft, where he retired in 1990. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Fostoria. As a young man, Mike enjoyed spending his leisure time at a family cottage on Catawba Island on Lake Erie and admiring and owning motor vehicles that caught his eye. Near the end of his life he cherished the company of his two faithful dogs.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou (Frisch-Michaels), his parents Loy and Imogene (Bonner) Luman, sister Carol Hall and her husband Wilbur "Bill" Hall.

He is survived by his son Mitch, husband of Loraine Luman, of Evansville, Indiana; daughters Kim Andreadis, wife of Art Tubbs, of Lakeland, Florida and Lisa Malburg, wife of Tom, of Temperance, Michigan; his stepchildren David Michaels and Deanna Rickard; his sisters Pat wife of Aurice Hoover, of Fostoria and Sherry, wife of Charles Lee of Woodstock, Georgia.  Also surviving, the mother of his children Carol Pope of Fremont; six grandchildren: Jason, Dean, Ashleigh, Jeremy, Hope, and Alex, step-grandchildren Philip and Dillon; five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

No visitation or funeral will be held, however, a remembrance at a later date is planned. All are welcome. Those who would like more information should send contact information in confidence to: rememberingmike@wowway.com, or text 812-306-3346.

Sad to hear of Mile's passing. I knew him from years ago when we were neighbors "across the street" in Fostoria and in High School at Fostoria High. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Wishing you peace and no pain as you have gone to be with God now. Wanting you to know that you will be missed and I hoping you knew how much I loved you and thought of you often over the years. Our times may not have been spent as most daughters and dads do, but you were very special to me.
