Maynard Allen Tefft, Sr.

Obituary

Maynard Allen Tefft, Sr., 78, of Fostoria, passed away Saturday October 7, 2017 at Promedica Fostoria Community Hospital.

He was born June 11, 1939 in Wood County to the late Byron R. & Lulu (Canfield) Tefft.

He married Bonnie Jean Hosler in May of 1966 and she died on March 27, 2007.

Surviving are children; Faye Tefft, Fostoria and Maynard (Cindy) Tefft, Jr., North Baltimore; stepchildren, LaDonna (Henry) Markel, Custar, Linda Artressia Albright, North Baltimore, Mary (Robert) Pucket, Fostoria and Junior (Kathy) Bear, Hammansburg; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his four sisters, Janice Hosler, Maxine Wittenmyer, Joyce Dean and Loretta Hudson.

Maynard worked and retired from the Petro Travel Center in North Baltimore. He loved fixing bikes and taking many rides on bike trails. He enjoyed singing karaoke at the Back Door Bar and Cowboys and Angels. He also loved watching the TV show Walker, Texas Ranger. Maynard will be remembered as an ornery, free spirited, energetic man who would do anything to help someone in need. He was an awesome man, father & grandpa.

Private services will take place. He will be laid to rest in Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.

Fay I'm so sorry about Unclemaynard it broke my heart when I was told he was a very strong man he was my best friend and uncle to he reminded me so much of my grandma Janice he mad everyone laugh and he was something special
