Obituary

 

Letha I. “Lee” Goshe, 88, of Fostoria, passed away at 5:04 pm Tuesday September 5, 2017 at Birchaven Village, Findlay.

She was born June 18, 1929 in Rollersville to the late John and Inez (Caris) Newman. She married Robert C. Goshe on June 17, 1950 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria and he died in 1993.

Surviving is daughter, Connie (John) Johnson, Augusta, Georgia; two sisters, Bonnie Whitcomb, Toledo and Joann (Robert) Gilmore, North Baltimore; and a brother, James Newman, Bradner.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Newman and Mary Lou Heberling; and two brothers, John Robert and Dale Newman.

Lee retired from Autolite, Fostoria after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria and the Fostoria Eagles Club.

Though she had one daughter, she was an influence to so many and her door was always open to support and help others. She loved to cook for everyone, dance and laugh.

Visitation is Wednesday September 6, 2017 from 6-8 pm at HOENING FUNERAL HOME 242 W. Tiffin Street, Fostoria.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Thursday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria with Rev. Todd Dominique presiding. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Dear Connie, So sorry to hear about your mom. I understand how hard this is. Though it has been many years since I've seen you or your mom, I remember all the fun times of our childhood so clearly. Take care Connie, it would be great to catch up sometime.
