I remember her well from our days growing up in the 'Point. She was a little hard to get to know, but was super sweet girl once you did. We used to sit out by her parents house and just talk about what ever came to mind. She was a little silly at times but I always enjoyed our time together. I always wondered what ever became of her. We were both in the military at the same time, me in the Air Force and then the Army. She did the opposite Army then Air Force. Used to think about her at times and wondered what she did with her life. I also went to school at U of K for engeneering, what a coincidence. Still will remember her.

When we were growing up and attending Point Place Jr High and then Woodward High School, the best feature of Ida's was her great big smile and happy greeting everyone always got as her long legs carried her towards us!! I was pleasantly surprised to learn of her service in both the Army AND the Airforce. And Enginering at the University! You go girl!!

Condolences from all the kids at Point Place Jr High AND the Woodward Class of 1963 - Bobbi (Remele) Dzierzawski

Ida and I lost touch over the past years, but I still remember her fondly. I think she told me that her Father, Oliver Raker, and my Father, Clarence A. Raker, were first cousins. I was also slightly acquainted with her Dad. My wife, Elizabeth and I were very sad to learn of her passing.

I was so sad to hear of Ida's passing. We were step-cousins. Her dad was my dad's step-brother. We spent some good times together as kids. She didn't like bread crusts so would tear them off and hide them under the table. I remember she had a Guinea pig, and really, really loved cats. She would include their names on her Christmas cards. Many miles have separated us over the years, but she was frequently in my thoughts. So comforting to know she's at peace.
