Obituary

Donna J. Smith, 83, of Fostoria, passed away at her daughter's home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday morning, March 30, 2017.

She was born January 28, 1934 in Tiffin to the late Eleanor (Theander) and Charles Hayward. She married Joe J. Smith on November 26, 1953 and he preceded her in death on July 13, 2008.

She is survived by her three children; Deborah L. (Adam) Hartman, of Findlay, Karen S. Brandeberry and Michael J. Smith, both of Fostoria; a brother, Thomas C. (Jean) Hayward, of Columbus; three grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Weimerskirch, Brook Brandeberry, and Brian Smith, all of Fostoria; two great-granddaughters, Larissa Carr, and Brianna Smith of Fostoria, three great grandsons, Kayden Smith, Landon Grine, and Sullivan James Dannenberger all of Fostoria.

Donna was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fostoria. She was a former employee of The Gray Printing Company as well as Lawson’s Dairy where she was a manager.

Services and Burial will be in Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, with Chaplain Kathy Fenimore officiating. Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

So sorry to hear of Donna's passing. Donna was a wonderful neighbor for 29 years. We will miss her going by our house and smiling and waving. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Our heartfelt sympathy to all of Donna's family. Donna was always fun to work with at Grays. Oh the memories that involved her humor was the best! She was a great wife, Mom, Grandma and friend. Hugs and peace, she will always be missed but her love lives on. <3

So sorry to hear this. What a nice, kind and thoughtful lady I had the pleasure of meeting at her great granddaughter's, Brianna Lee Smith, Peewee Powwow event last year. I could tell they were very close. Brianna calls her Granny Apple & she will miss her terribly. Prayers to All of her family & friends
