Carolyn Kay Etzinger
Carolyn Kay Etzinger passed away Tuesday morning, July 18, 2017 in Findlay OH. She was born April 24, 1935 in Fostoria to the late Paul and Mabel (Arnet) Peltier. She married Robert J. Etzinger (who preceded her in death) on September 29, 1956 at Grace Lutheran Church in Wadsworth, OH. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Etzinger. Surviving are three sons, Robert P. (Rebecca), Findlay, James A. (Deborah), Fostoria, and Michael E. (Janet Boyer), Germantown, MD.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn was a 1953 Fostoria High School graduate. She was a stay-at-home mother until 1975 when she went to work for the Seneca County Department of Human Services until 1996. She was a member of the Fostoria Antique Study Club, the Fostoria Ohio Glass Association, the Seneca County Museum Foundation Board, the Case Western Reserve Grandmother Study Group, and the Half & Half (Fostoria & Findlay) Bridge Group. She enjoyed playing Bridge and antiquing, but her greatest joy was traveling extensively with her husband. Their favorite foreign destination was London, and their favorite U.S. destinations were the New England States and Alaska. Visitation will be held from 2-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Mann-Hare-Hoening funeral home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, OH where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017, officiated by Scott W. Hall. Burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria.
