Beverly Ann Hernandez


Beverly Ann Hernandez, 80, of Fostoria, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at her home.

She was born on May 8, 1937 in Chicago, the daughter of Harold and Helen Ann Black.  She married Ysidro Hernandez, and he precedes her in death.

Surviving are her sons, Tony (Mary) Hernandez, John Hernandez, Frank Hernandez and Joey (Beverly) Hernandez; daughters, Karen (Greg) Poole, Peg (Jon) Barchus, Mary (Ed) Castillo, Helen (Bob) Brown, Debbie (Demetrio) Rosas, Vicky Hernandez, Susie Hernandez, and Judy (Gerald)Hernandez; her dog, Carlito AKA “ Carlos”;  and many grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mona Hernandez, a grandson, Jayvel Hernandez, a great-grandson, Zachary Peace, two sisters and one brother.

Beverly was a cook for both Candyland restaurant in Fostoria, and for St. Catherine Care Center, from which she retired in 1997.

She loved to dance, spend time with her grandchildren, play BINGO, watch old movies, and when she was younger, she participated in sky diving and bungee jumping.

Visitation was held privately for Beverly’s family at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria.
