Betty Marilyn Casteel


Betty Marilyn Casteel, age 87, of Arcadia, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Napoleon.

She was born on February 1, 1930 to the late Carl Clinton and Frances May (Misamore) Casteel.  She is survived by four children, Sherry Livesay,  and Rick, Kevin, & Nancy Zellers; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by siblings, Kermit, Kenneth & Calvin Casteel, Eva Fruth and Rema Bishop.

Betty was a 1948 Vanlue High School graduate.  She enjoyed watching sports, especially Ohio State and Kansas State football, and the sport of professional bull riding. Spending time with her family brought her the most joy in life.

Betty retired from Blanchard Valley Hospital and Brookside Pharmacy in Findlay.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Friday, August 11, 2017 at MANN-HARE-HOENING Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.  Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.

May our God of comfort, Jesus, hold you all in the palm of His hand as you remember and celebrate Betty's life legacy. She will not be forgotten by all who knew her. Cherish the many warm and fond memories that you share in your hearts.
