Agnes M. Sorge

Obituary

Agnes M. Sorge, 92, of Holland, OH, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at Genacross Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek Campus. She was born on September 11, 1924 to Michael and Frances (Szymanski) Zientek.

 

She worked for the Fuller Brush Company and Tupperware for over 40 years. Agnes was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She was an active member of American Legion's Pond Post #99 Auxiliary, where she was past president, treasurer, and historian, and Walter Weller Post #135. She was also involved in the V.F.W. and Women's 8/40. She volunteered at Toledo Children's Hospital Mental Health Unit. Agnes enjoyed bowling, playing cards, bingo, golfing, camping, crochetting, traveling, and wintering in Florida.

 

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Lucy Borysiak; nephews, Larry (Marcia) and Kevin (Ann) Borysiak; niece, Sandy Borysiak; step-son,  Steve (Marcia) Sorge; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; sister, Dolly Jacobs; brother-in-law, Ray Borysiak; nephew, Gene Borysiak; and great-nephew, Brian Borysiak.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017  from 9:30 until 10 am at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4703 Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611. Funeral services will begin on the same day at 10 am at the church with Pastor Ron Atkins officiating. Entombment at Toledo Memorial Park.

 

Memorial contributions may be considered to Messiah Lutheran Church.

Very sorry to read in "The Blade" that Aggie passed - haven't seen her in a long time - hugs and prayers to the family and friends ...

Very sorry to read of Aggie's passing. I was surprised to see no mention of all the years Aggie's was a member of Delta Chi Sigma Sorority. She did many good things as a sorority sister. I miss those days. Bless her. Harriett Zaleski
